The 2nd annual Dottie Lucas Memorial for the Clone Kart Class will be run this Sunday at Lunbeck Speedway in Chillicothe.There will be trophies awarded for 1st,2nd and 3rd and a Hard Charger award!There may also be a small purse also!!
The drivers meeting is scheduled for 6pm with Hot Lap right after,followed by heats,the Dash(with a special format),a B-Main and the A-Main.For those who dont know,Dottie Lucas was my mother who passed away in November of 2007.I wanted to honor her memory by having a Memorial race in here name and the first one was held last year in Late September and it was a success as we had trophies for the Top 4 and paid a really good purse!!The dash paid some money to all the starters last year and the A-Main purse was:
Kyle Jones won last years race with Keith Jones 2nd,Scott Salyers 3rd and Troy Uhrig 4th.
This years race wont have much of a purse as the purse came from the shirts I got made for the race and put the extra money back into the race,but the trophies are nice and its not about the money its about honoring my Mother,who I loved sooooooo much and would alwys talk to her about my dirt racing adventures!!I hope to see everyone out there and lets have fun and honor a Great Moms Memory
